Parliamentary Secretary Commends Productivity Efforts at NPO Briefing


Islamabad: Mr. Shahid Usman Ibrahim, the Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Industries and Production, visited the National Productivity Organization (NPO) on January 22, 2025, to receive a detailed briefing on the organization’s activities. The meeting was attended by Mr. Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry, CEO of NPO, along with senior management, where they discussed the organization’s initiatives and achievements.



According to a statement by Press Information Department, the CEO outlined NPO’s focus areas, including enhancing productivity awareness at various levels, engaging experts to share best practices, and promoting innovative methods for improved productivity and competitiveness. The organization also emphasized the importance of gathering and sharing information to boost industrial productivity.



The Parliamentary Secretary applauded the efforts of both NPO and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) in fostering national productivity. He highlighted the government’s commitment to boosting productivity through URAAN Pakistan, a significant initiative aligned with the 5Es National Economic Transformation Plan, which prioritizes productivity as a key driver for export-led growth.



During the visit, Mr. Ibrahim specifically praised NPO’s contributions to enhancing productivity across industries. In response, Mr. Chaudhry expressed gratitude for the Parliamentary Secretary’s visit and assured continued efforts under the Ministry’s guidance to advance productivity, quality, and innovation.



Mr. Ibrahim reaffirmed his commitment to supporting NPO’s initiatives and emphasized his alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision for industrial development. He pledged to facilitate efforts toward increased productivity, industrialization, exports, and job creation, and committed to engaging with NPO more frequently to ensure comprehensive support for productivity development nationwide.
