Parliamentary Caucus to Unveil Landmark Education Report in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Parliamentary Caucus on Child Rights (PCCR), under the leadership of Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Convenor Dr. Nikhat Shakeel Khan, is preparing for the concluding ceremony of a notable initiative aimed at addressing Pakistan’s education crisis. This event, backed by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, is scheduled for Monday, 26 May 2025, at the Parliament House in Islamabad.

The ceremony will feature the release of a pivotal report entitled “Parliamentary Engagement for National Strategy on Education Emergency.” This document proposes practical solutions to tackle the issue of over 26 million out-of-school children in Pakistan.

The report is a product of broad community consultations conducted throughout the country’s four provinces. It signifies the Parliament’s strengthened resolve toward achieving educational equity, following the National Education Emergency declaration in 2024.

The event will see participation from key federal and provincial lawmakers, government officials, and civil society partners, underscoring a collective effort to improve the educational landscape in Pakistan.
