Islamabad: A group of parliamentarians visited several schools in the Islamabad Capital Territory today, where they commended the educational improvements implemented by the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. The improvements include the introduction of cutting-edge IT labs, foreign language courses, and comprehensive school meal programs, among others.
According to Press Information Department, the parliamentarians were notably impressed by the range of innovative initiatives spearheaded by the Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. These initiatives encompass state-of-the-art IT labs designed to enhance digital literacy, foreign language courses to prepare students for global communication, and mind games along with SMART classrooms that support interactive learning environments. Additionally, the delegation highlighted the implementation of school meal programs that ensure students receive nutritious meals, the E-Rozgar schemes aimed at promoting digital employment, tech fellows programs to foster technology skills, football courts to encourage physical education, and well-equipped libraries to support comprehensive learning and research.
The visiting delegation expressed their satisfaction with the progress and transformative work accomplished in the public schools of ICT. They encouraged the Minister of Education and the Secretary of Education to continue their efforts in maintaining and expanding these educational initiatives, which are seen as vital for the holistic development of students in the capital territory.
