Islamabad: Minister for Petroleum Dr. Musadik Malik asserted that Parliament holds the responsibility and authority to amend the constitution to clarify any ambiguous provisions. This declaration comes at a time when legislative amendments are deemed crucial for steering the country in the correct direction.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during an interview with a private news channel, Dr. Malik emphasized the necessity of amendments under the current circumstances to maintain the country’s governance on the right track. He also critiqued the political approach of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing it of consistently challenging state authority and attacking national institutions. Dr. Malik further stated that the federal government possesses the right to intervene and suppress such actions to safeguard national security.
