PARC Hosts Training on Advanced Project Automation System with Ministry of Planning

Islamabad, A one-day training session focusing on the Intelligent Project Automation System (iPAS) was organized by the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiative. The training aimed to enhance the proficiency of project managers and team members in managing Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects through advanced automation tools.

According to Pakistan Agricultural Research Council, the iPAS is designed to automate PSDP operations, allowing for online submissions, tracking financial and physical progress, and facilitating funds management. The training held on May 9, 2024, attracted 27 participants from various PARC projects. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khan, Program Director of PSDP at PARC, emphasized the importance of iPAS in streamlining processes and supporting strategic project management.

The session covered crucial aspects such as budget management, project monitoring, and the formulation of PSDP projects. Trainers included Mr. Zafar Iqbal Khan and Ms. Naila Arooj from the Ministry, who provided insights into the operational and financial management improvements made possible by iPAS. The event concluded with Dr. Khan highlighting the need for enhanced operational capabilities within project teams to leverage such innovative tools effectively for project approval, financial management, and execution.
