Islamabad: Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, introduced two innovative parenting manuals, “Aghosh” and “Parvarish,” at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). These manuals are designed to enhance parenting skills and empower future generations in Pakistan.
According to Press Information Department, the launch represents a significant collaboration involving the National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), Aga Khan Foundation Pakistan (AKF-P), Aga Khan University (AKU), National Institute of Psychology (NIP), and Dukhtaran-e-Pakistan. Addressing the gathering, Chairman Khan highlighted the critical role of effective parenting in national development and stated that these manuals are part of a broader strategy to integrate advanced knowledge and skills into the Prime Minister’s Youth Program.
The manuals aim to bridge the gaps in existing parenting resources by providing comprehensive, culturally relevant, and evidence-based guidance. The government plans to distribute these resources widely through youth centers and educational institutions, ensuring that young parents across Pakistan are equipped with essential parenting knowledge and skills.
This initiative is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to foster a supportive environment for parents and promote the holistic development of the country’s youth.
