Pakistan’s Top Military Official Honored with Prestigious Saudi Medal


Riyadh: General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan, held a meeting with General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, the Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces, during an official visit to Saudi Arabia. The discussions centered on the evolving global and regional situation and explored ways to bolster bilateral defense cooperation.



The military leaders from both nations reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the longstanding ties and enduring defense partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration in facing common challenges.



In a significant gesture, General Mirza was awarded the “King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour of the Excellent Class” for his notable contributions to enhancing the military relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. This honor reflects the deep-rooted military and strategic ties between the two countries.
