Pakistan’s Prime Minister to Embark on First Foreign Visit to Saudi Arabia

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan is set to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from April 6 to 8, 2024, marking his first international trip since assuming office. The visit falls within the last days of the holy month of Ramadan, with the Prime Minister scheduled to perform religious rites and engage in high-level discussions.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during his visit, Prime Minister Sharif, alongside a delegation of senior ministers, will perform Umrah and offer prayers in Medina. He is also expected to hold talks with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister HRH Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on various bilateral and international matters.

The visit underscores the enduring and close relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, a bond that is deeply rooted in shared faith and cultural values. Both leaders are anticipated to reaffirm their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in economic and investment realms, reflective of the long-standing fraternity between the two nations.
