Pakistan’s Prime Minister Set to Bolster Regional Ties at ECO Summit in Tashkent

ISLAMABAD, Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar is scheduled to depart for Tashkent, Uzbekistan tomorrow to attend the 16th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), aiming to enhance regional cooperation and connectivity.

According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the summit on November 8-9, the Prime Minister is set to emphasize Pakistan’s dedication to the ECO Vision 2025. The agenda includes advocating for increased regional collaboration in trade, transport, connectivity, energy, tourism, and economic development. Prime Minister Kakar will outline Pakistan’s strategy for the future direction of the ECO and its efforts to foster regional connectivity and shared prosperity.

In addition to his participation in the summit, the Prime Minister will also conduct bilateral meetings with Uzbek leadership and other heads of state in attendance. These discussions are expected to further Pakistan’s longstanding commitment to ECO, an organization it helped establish, and to the shared objectives of connectivity and prosperity within the ECO region.
