The session, attended by key figures such as the Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, and provincial chief ministers, underscored a unified stance against criminal mafias affecting the country’s economy and public welfare.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting’s agenda centered on strategizing against the pervasive issue of illegal activities that undermine Pakistan’s economic stability. Detailed briefings were given on actions taken to dismantle criminal networks and mitigate their detrimental effects on society. The discussions led to the endorsement of collaborative efforts between federal and provincial authorities to enhance the effectiveness of anti-power theft measures, including the modernization of Power Distribution Companies and the adoption of Smart meters.
