Pakistan’s Prime Minister Declares Military Victory a ‘Defining Moment’ Against India

Sialkot: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday described Pakistan’s recent military success against India as a “historic victory” during a visit to Pasrur Cantonment. Joined by senior military officials and government ministers, Sharif emphasized the significance of the triumph, saying it would be “remembered in golden words forever.”

The visit served as a platform for Sharif to commend the armed forces’ bravery and professionalism during Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, part of The Marka-e-Haq (The Battle of Truth). He praised the military for not conceding any territory and for their steadfastness in difficult conditions.

Highlighting the role of the Pakistan Air Force, Sharif stated that their actions in neutralizing enemy aircraft demonstrated Pakistan’s advanced military capabilities. He asserted that the world now recognizes Pakistan’s prowess in both conventional and technical warfare.

Addressing potential future conflicts, the Prime Minister issued a stern warning regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, cautioning that any interference would be met with a strong response. He accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of supporting terrorism within Pakistan, citing events such as the Samjhauta Express attack.

Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace and development but stressed that these should not be mistaken for weakness. He expressed readiness for both peace and conflict, leaving the decision to India. The Prime Minister also thanked military leaders for their strategic planning and coordination during the conflict, noting their efforts would be a point of study for military experts.

While open to dialogue with India, Sharif insisted that talks must be comprehensive and include unresolved issues like Kashmir. He criticized past responses to peace overtures and warned of dire consequences if aggression continues.

Concluding his remarks, Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to peace and warned of a strong response to any further aggression. He urged the Indian leadership to prioritize regional peace through sincere dialogue.
