Pakistan’s President Prorogues Joint Session of Parliament

Islamabad, The President of Pakistan has officially prorogued the joint session of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament), which was convened on Thursday, the 18th of April, 2024.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the notification issued by Secretary General Tahir Hussain, stated that the President exercised the powers granted by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution to prorogue the session following the conclusion of its business. The National Assembly Secretariat has been instructed to distribute 20 copies of the extraordinary Gazette of Pakistan detailing the prorogation.
