Pakistan’s President Extends Nowruz Greetings Amid Regional Challenges

Islamabad: The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has issued a message extending greetings to those celebrating Nowruz, an ancient festival marking the advent of spring, both within Pakistan and in surrounding regions. Nowruz is widely observed across Iran, Central Asia, parts of West Asia, South Asia, and neighboring areas, symbolizing a time of renewal and balance.

According to Press Information Department, the President highlighted the significance of Nowruz as a moment of rejuvenation and rebirth for communities observing the festival. He noted that Pakistan’s rich tapestry of cultures, faiths, and traditions contributes to the nation’s character, underscoring the importance of diversity as a shared strength.

The President’s message also acknowledged the difficult circumstances faced by many in the region. In areas where Nowruz has traditionally symbolized renewal, the festival now coincides with the aftermath of violence and destruction, affecting schools, hospitals, and families. Special attention was given to Afghanistan, where the President expressed hope for the end of prolonged suffering under the current regime. He conveyed a message of hope, wishing for the return of peace, stability, and brighter days as spring unfolds.
