Pakistan’s President Commemorates Defence and Martyrs’ Day with Strong Messages on Sovereignty and Regional Peace


Islamabad: On the occasion of Pakistan’s Defence and Martyrs’ Day, the President delivered a poignant message, honoring the sacrifices made by the nation’s military and reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty against external threats. The President emphasized the country’s dedication to peace and stability in the region, while also highlighting the ongoing challenges in Kashmir under Indian control.



According to Press Information Department, the President paid tribute to the “Ghazis and Shuhada” who have historically protected Pakistan, particularly from attempts by adversaries to compromise its territorial integrity. He praised the preparedness and capability of the Pakistani Armed Forces, which are equipped and ready to counter any threats to the nation’s sovereignty. The President’s speech also addressed the broader regional tensions, especially concerning the situation in Kashmir, criticizing the revocation of its autonomous status and calling for adherence to United Nations Security Council resolutions favoring self-determination for the Kashmiri people.



The President further criticized hostile nations accused of fostering terrorism within Pakistan’s borders and expressed solid support for the nation’s law enforcement agencies in their anti-terrorism efforts. He called for national unity in backing the Armed Forces to continue their role in safeguarding Pakistan’s security.



The message also carried a spiritual note, with prayers for divine guidance towards peace and prosperity for Pakistan, ending with patriotic slogans in support of the military and the nation.
