Muzaffarabad, Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, has unequivocally stated that the entire nation of Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their quest for self-determination. His remarks came during a visit to Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Kashmiri struggle as outlined by United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Kakar’s discussions with the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chaudhry Anwarul Haque, and the Speaker of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Chaudhry Lateef Akbar, focused on the necessity of a fair and impartial referendum for resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UNSC resolutions. Kakar highlighted the ongoing atrocities committed by India in Jammu and Kashmir, criticizing the international community’s silence on the issue.
The leaders from Azad Jammu and Kashmir expressed appreciation for Kakar’s visit, viewing it as a strong signal to India of the unbreakable bond between Pakistanis and Kashmiris.
