Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has issued instructions to the Commerce Ministry to prepare an action plan aimed at doubling Pakistan’s exports within the next five years. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a high-level meeting in Islamabad, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of engaging with leading entrepreneurs and stakeholders to develop a robust action plan. He highlighted the need to address and facilitate the challenges faced by exporters, particularly in the e-commerce sector, to maximize the country’s potential in global markets.
Shehbaz Sharif called for detailed recommendations to advance industries involved in the global value chain and urged for concerted efforts to boost exports across various sectors, including information technology, household products, and textiles.
