Rawalpindi, February 21, 2023 (PPI-OT):Noted religious scholar and ardent supporter of the Kashmir cause, Syed Saqib Akbar Naqvi, passed away at a hospital in Rawalpindi Tuesday evening. Syed Saqib Akbar was ill for the last few months. After his condition deteriorated few days back, he was admitted to Jinnah Medical Complex in Rawalpindi where he breathed his last, today.

Saqib Akbar was a real advocate of Kashmir’s freedom from Indian slavery. He used to organize seminars and other programs in Pakistan besides writing articles to raise awareness about the Kashmiri people’s struggle for right to self-determination and about Indian machinations against the Muslims in South Asia. He remained a true champion of Muslim unity throughout his life. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered on Wednesday (February 22) after Zuhr prayers at Masjid Imam Sadiq, G-9, and Islamabad.
