Pakistan’s National Security Committee Vows to Protect Sovereignty at All Costs


Islamabad, In a firm declaration of national security policy, Pakistan’s National Security Committee (NSC) today reiterated its unwavering commitment to the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, the NSC meeting emphasized that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a strong response.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the NSC meeting, which was convened in Islamabad, focused on the recent tensions with Iran. The committee commended the Armed Forces for their professional and proportionate response to the breach of sovereignty. The NSC reviewed the situation and discussed the political and diplomatic developments in relation to Iran, stressing the importance of Pakistan’s security and safety. The forum also acknowledged the successful execution of ‘Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar’ against Baloch terrorists inside Iran and discussed the preparedness along the borders.



The NSC highlighted the necessity of utilizing communication channels with Iran to address security concerns, emphasizing regional peace and stability. The commitment to the UN charter and international norms, particularly regarding the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, was reaffirmed. The committee also reiterated Pakistan’s determination to combat terrorism and its impact on the country.



The meeting concluded with a call for dialogue and diplomacy to resolve issues and deepen historic relations between Pakistan and Iran. Key defense and intelligence officials, along with Caretaker Ministers, attended the meeting.
