Pakistan’s National Day Celebrated in Dubai with Cultural Performances and Diplomatic Engagements


Dubai: The Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai marked Pakistan’s National Day with an event showcasing the enduring ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The celebration brought together diplomats, UAE officials, and the Pakistani community, emphasizing the historical and strategic bonds shared by the two nations.



The event, attended by H.E. Khalid Muhammad Al-Kaabi from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dubai Office, featured cultural performances by school children clad in traditional attire. They performed the national anthems of both countries, underscoring the cultural bridges between Pakistan and the UAE.



Speaking at the event, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Professor Ahsan Iqbal, reflected on the significance of March 23rd, the day marking the Pakistan Resolution of 1940. He outlined the country’s economic aspirations under the Urran Pakistan initiative, which aims for a $1 trillion economy by 2035, linking Pakistan’s strategic advantages and reforms to its future growth.



Consul General Hussain Muhammad highlighted the foundational role of the Pakistan Resolution in shaping the nation’s diverse and forward-looking identity. He urged global partners to consider Pakistan’s opportunities in sectors like energy, IT, and tourism.



The ceremony also acknowledged the deep-rooted ties with the UAE, honoring the visionary leadership of the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The Consul General praised the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE as a significant link between the nations and expressed gratitude for the UAE’s ongoing support.



A notable moment of the evening was the presentation of the book “Sheikh Zayed: The Builder of the Nation,” authored by Khan Zaman Saroor. The book pays tribute to Sheikh Zayed’s legacy and was recently launched in Abu Dhabi.



The audience also viewed a video montage with historical images of leaders from both countries, highlighting key moments in their bilateral relations since the 1960s.
