Pakistan’s National Assembly Speaker Commends Saudi Arabia on National Day

Islamabad: Honorable Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, extended warm congratulations to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on their 94th National Day, praising the Kingdom for its global contributions and leadership. In his address, he highlighted Saudi Arabia’s role in global peace, economic development, and the preservation of Islamic heritage, while also expressing gratitude for the Kingdom’s management of the Holy Cities of Mecca and Medina.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan announcement issued on 23 September 2024, Speaker Sadiq conveyed his heartfelt greetings to King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh. He acknowledged the Kingdom’s pivotal role as the custodian of the Holy Cities, appreciating the hospitality shown to millions of Muslim pilgrims annually and the safe pilgrimage environment maintained by Saudi Arabia.

Speaker Sadiq remarked on Saudi Arabia’s continuous progress and strength over the past 94 years, noting its significant socio-economic contributions to the region and the broader Muslim world. He emphasized the Kingdom’s influential position within the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which has been pivotal in unifying the Muslim Ummah.

Further, he reflected on the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in mutual respect, shared values, and Islamic brotherhood. Both nations have stood by each other in times of need, which has reinforced their enduring friendship. Looking ahead, Speaker Sadiq expressed confidence in the further strengthening of bilateral ties, anticipating increased cooperation for mutual benefit.

In his closing remarks, the Speaker prayed for continued peace, unity, and progress in Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing the bilateral relationship for a prosperous future.
