Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs Refutes Claims About Pilgrims in Iraq


Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has categorically denied recent media allegations that Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated 50,000 Pakistani pilgrims had disappeared in Iraq.



According to Press Information Department, reports suggesting the Minister made such a claim during a Senate committee meeting are entirely false. The Ministry emphasized that all pilgrimage travel to Iraq is arranged through private operators, and the government is actively working to enhance the facilitation process for pilgrims.
