Pakistan’s Minister for Planning Stresses Modernizing Education to Global Standards

Lahore, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal emphasized the importance of elevating Pakistan’s education system to meet modern standards to effectively compete on the global stage. He articulated this vision while speaking at a ceremony in Lahore.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the significant role that education and research play in societal development, a principle strongly rooted in Islam. He advocated for a revival of the philosophical teachings of Iqbal, suggesting that solutions to contemporary issues can be found in his works. The Minister proposed the establishment of Iqbal Chairs in every university to deepen academic engagement with Iqbal’s philosophy. Additionally, he called for greater support for women’s education, urging that women be encouraged to excel in every field.
