Pakistan’s Military Leadership Lauds Smooth Democratic Transition and Reaffirms Support for Kashmir and Palestine

Rawalpindi, The Corps Commanders Conference, chaired by Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, expressed satisfaction over the smooth democratic transition of power in Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of continued democratic consolidation for the country’s future. The conference, held in Rawalpindi, highlighted the military’s non-involvement in the electoral process while criticizing unfounded allegations of interference.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the forum praised the efforts of Civil Administration, Law Enforcement Agencies, and security forces in providing support during the General Elections, in line with the Election Commission of Pakistan’s guidelines. Despite challenges, these efforts ensured a safe and secure environment for the electoral process.

The military leadership also addressed concerns over the dissemination of organized misinformation and urged the people of Pakistan to remain united and participate actively in the nation’s progress. The conference reiterated the military’s commitment to defending the nation and contributing to its stability, prosperity, and security.

Furthermore, the conference paid tribute to the sacrifices of those who have laid down their lives for the country’s peace and stability, including members of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and civilians. It also reaffirmed its stance against terrorism and pledged to combat security threats to uplift socioeconomic growth in Pakistan.

The forum expressed grave concerns over the human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and condemned the ongoing violations by India. Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination was reaffirmed, along with solidarity with the people of Palestine facing serious human rights violations.

Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir emphasized the need for commanders to maintain high standards of professionalism and preparedness, ensuring the effectiveness of operations and training. The military’s role in supporting the government in addressing security threats and fostering socioeconomic development was highlighted, alongside efforts to ensure the just treatment of all individuals within the country.
