Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr to discuss the recent escalation of tensions with India. The Prime Minister provided an overview of the Indian aggression and Pakistan’s response through Operation Bunyan-un-Marsous.
Joining the meeting were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, and Minister for Law and Justice, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar. The leadership reviewed the situation and the measures taken by the Armed Forces.
President Zardari praised the Armed Forces for their professionalism and the response to Indian missile attacks. He noted the restraint shown by Pakistan despite provocations, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to peace.
The President expressed regret over the ongoing hostilities, stating that Pakistan’s actions were necessary to defend its sovereignty and protect its citizens. He highlighted the unity of the Pakistani nation in support of its Armed Forces.
President Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s pledge to maintain sovereignty and territorial integrity, asserting the country’s determination to defend itself.
