Karachi, Murtaza Solangi, Pakistan’s Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to overcoming the latest surge of terrorism, emphasizing the unified strength of state institutions in this endeavor.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Information Minister delivered a message on the ninth anniversary of the Army Public School (APS) tragedy, highlighting the consensus among civil and military leadership to safeguard the country’s homeland and national security. He expressed confidence in Pakistan’s trajectory towards enduring peace and development.
“The people of Pakistan, supported by the robust framework of their state institutions, are well-equipped to quell this new wave of terrorism. Our resolve is unwavering and our determination unyielding; our fight against terrorism remains relentless,” Solangi stated.
He reflected on the progress made since the APS incident, which galvanized all political parties and organizations in Pakistan to unite against terrorism, leading to the formation of the national action plan. The Minister acknowledged the significant strides taken in the battle against terrorism, underscoring the steadfastness of this ongoing effort.
Solangi also commemorated the memory of the APS tragedy, noting that despite nine years passing, the sorrow remains palpable. He condemned the attack as a cowardly act against the nation’s future, targeting innocent children. The Minister offered prayers for the souls of those who perished in the APS attack and extended his condolences to their families. He also paid tribute to the security forces’ martyrs, who laid down their lives to ensure peace in Pakistan.
