Islamabad, Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has mandated the Utility Stores Corporation (USC) to ensure the quality of flour and other essentials provided under the Ramadan Package 2024. During a meeting in Islamabad, Hussain emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards for the utility items distributed to facilitate citizens during the holy month.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Ramadan Package 2024, valued at 12.5 billion rupees, is a significant initiative to support consumers through subsidized rates on essential commodities. Already, a substantial portion of the flour, sugar, and ghee allocated for this package has been distributed, with over ten million bags of flour, 27,000 metric tons of sugar, and 15,000 metric tons of ghee reaching beneficiaries.
The minister’s directive to the USC reflects a commitment to maintaining high standards and rectifying any deficiencies in the distribution of these items, ensuring that citizens receive quality goods during Ramadan.
