Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Stresses Role of Trade Officers in Economic Diplomacy

Islamabad, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan recently welcomed the newly appointed Trade and Investment Officers assigned to various Pakistani Missions around the world.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during their visit, Foreign Secretary Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi emphasized the crucial role these officers play in advancing Pakistan’s economic diplomacy. He highlighted the significance of their contributions to fostering international trade and investment relationships.

The officers received comprehensive briefings on Pakistan’s foreign policy, particularly focusing on economic diplomacy initiatives. Key topics included the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and significant administrative and financial aspects concerning Pakistan’s Missions abroad. This initiative is part of Pakistan’s broader strategy to strengthen its global economic ties and promote foreign investment through effective diplomacy.
