Yazd: The Foreign Office of Pakistan has extended its deepest condolences to the families of the Pakistani pilgrims who perished in a road accident in Yazd, Iran, affirming its commitment to assist the injured and facilitate the repatriation of the deceased.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch announced that the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister have directed the Consul of Pakistan in Zahidan to visit the accident site immediately to assess the situation and coordinate response efforts. The primary focus is on providing medical relief to the injured and arranging for the bodies of the deceased, most of whom were from Sindh, to be returned to Pakistan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has also activated its Crisis Management Unit to support these efforts, ensuring effective communication and swift action in collaboration with Pakistani diplomatic missions in Tehran and Zahidan. These officials are working closely with Iranian authorities to manage the aftermath efficiently and respectfully.
