Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Vows to Enhance Ties with China

Islamabad, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani has reiterated Pakistan’s determination to further strengthen and enhance its bilateral relationship with China, emphasizing the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in this endeavor.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during a meeting in Islamabad with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong, the two diplomats delved into a comprehensive discussion on various aspects of bilateral relations, including economic and financial cooperation under the framework of CPEC.

Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani expressed gratitude for Vice Foreign Minister Sun’s role in bolstering the Pakistan-China Iron Brotherhood, aligning with the visions of both countries’ leaders and peoples. He highlighted the steady progress of CPEC, underscoring its significance for Pakistan’s development and expressing commitment to realizing its full potential for mutual benefits.

Jilani appreciated China’s unwavering support for all CPEC projects in Pakistan, reflecting the strong partnership between the two nations. Vice Foreign Minister Sun, in turn, acknowledged Pakistan’s vital place in China’s foreign policy, expressing a desire for deeper cooperation across all sectors.
