Pakistan’s Finance Minister in Washington for IMF, World Bank Discussions


Islamabad, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has landed in Washington D.C., United States, to engage in the pivotal spring meetings with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, upon his arrival, Minister Aurangzeb was welcomed by Masood Khan, the Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, along with other officers from the Pakistani Embassy. During his visit, the Finance Minister is scheduled to have several significant meetings with officials from both the IMF and the World Bank. Additionally, his agenda includes engagements with international media and representatives from various think tanks.



The discussions are expected to focus on enhancing financial cooperation and securing further economic support for Pakistan amid its ongoing economic challenges.
