Islamabad, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb recently met with Mr. You Hang, Chief Representative of the China Financial Futures Exchange (CFFEX) in Pakistan, and a Director of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), aiming to fortify Pakistan’s financial markets and investment sector. The meeting served as a platform to deliberate on the integration of innovative financial instruments and the bolstering of market resilience and transparency.
According to Press Information Department, the discussions emphasized potential collaborations between CFFEX and PSX to foster financial market development in Pakistan. Minister Aurangzeb underscored the government’s dedication to regulatory reforms and market enhancement, advocating for strategic international partnerships to improve Pakistan’s financial infrastructure.
Mr. You Hang articulated CFFEX’s intent to work closely with PSX and other local entities, focusing on new financial products introduction, technical expertise exchange, and encouraging China-Pakistan cross-border investments. His commitment to aiding Pakistan’s financial sector growth was evident throughout the meeting.
The session also included PSX’s invitation to Minister Aurangzeb for attending forthcoming financial events and visiting key financial institutions to understand the local financial and regulatory landscape better. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to identify and act upon collaborative opportunities, aiming to bolster the financial markets in Pakistan.
