Marrakech, 15 Oct 2023: Dr. Shamshad Akhtar, the caretaker Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue, and Economic Affairs, met with Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), during the annual meeting of the World Bank and the IMF in Marrakech. The focal point of their discussion was global economic stability and Pakistan’s pledge to implement financial reforms. Both parties emphasized the importance of bolstering economic resilience and nurturing international collaboration.
