Pakistan’s Envoy to UAE Advocates for Innovative Strategies in Labor Mobility

Abu Dhabi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, has emphasized the importance of adopting innovative strategies to adapt to the evolving demands of the labor market and to foster skills mobility partnerships. His remarks were made during his address at the 7th Ministerial Consultation of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue (ADD), a platform that congregates 17 countries from the Gulf and Asia to deliberate on labor mobility issues.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Ambassador highlighted the pivotal role of the Abu Dhabi Dialogue in safeguarding the rights of migrant workers and the necessity of embracing new approaches to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the changing landscape of labor demands. Tirmizi also pointed out the critical global challenges such as climate change and migrant health, underscoring their impact on labor mobility and the well-being of migrant workers.

The ADD serves as a vital forum for collaborative efforts among member countries to enhance the governance of labor mobility, ensuring that it contributes positively to the development of both sending and receiving countries while protecting the rights of migrant workers. The Ambassador’s call for innovation in strategies reflects a proactive stance towards ensuring that labor mobility continues to be managed in a manner that is beneficial to all stakeholders involved.
