Pakistan’s Embassy in Brussels Highlights Textile Sector Opportunities to European Companies


Brussels, In a significant effort to attract foreign investment into its textile sector, the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels organized a webinar titled “Opportunities in the Textile Sector of Pakistan” for companies based in Belgium and Luxembourg. The event aimed to showcase the vibrant textile industry of Pakistan and the favorable business environment created by the government’s policies.



According to Press Information Department, the webinar was well-received, with substantial participation from companies interested in exploring collaborative and investment opportunities within Pakistan’s textile industry. The Ambassador of Pakistan to the European Union, Belgium, and Luxembourg, H.E. Amna Baloch, welcomed the attendees and provided a thorough overview of the sector. She underscored the plethora of trade and investment opportunities available for foreign firms and highlighted the Pakistani government’s dedication to supporting potential investors through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).



The session included a detailed presentation by Mr. Muhammad Bilal Khan, Trade and Investment Attaché at the Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels, who elaborated on the landscape of Pakistan’s textile sector. Furthermore, insights into the industry’s potential were shared by Mr. Shaikh Iqbal, CEO of the Pakistan Textile Council (PTC), enriching the discussion with valuable information for the participants.



Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, with participants commending the Embassy’s initiative to engage and attract the business community towards investing in Pakistan.
