Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal announced that Pakistan is making strides towards economic stabilization, attributing progress to disciplined reforms. He made these remarks during a virtual media address at the launch of the Ministry’s Monthly Development Report.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized Pakistan’s achievements in macroeconomic stability, development progress, and strategic responses to global challenges. He noted a significant recovery in large-scale manufacturing, which grew by 5.9 percent during the first eight months of the current fiscal year. Additionally, remittances reached 30.3 billion dollars, and exports of goods and services amounted to 30.6 billion dollars in the first nine months of the fiscal year. The current account posted a surplus of 1.07 billion dollars last month, underscoring the nation’s economic resilience.
