Istanbul: The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, is set to attend the 51st Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul, Türkiye, on June 21-22, 2025. The session will focus on critical issues affecting the Islamic world.
During the plenary session, Senator Dar will present Pakistan’s views on the recent ceasefire between Pakistan and India and discuss the situation in the Middle East, particularly following recent actions by Israel against Iran and other regional countries.
Senator Dar will also reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to the Palestinian cause, emphasizing the importance of establishing peace in the Middle East and providing humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
In addition to regional issues, Senator Dar will call for global efforts to combat the rise of Islamophobia and address challenges such as extremism, terrorism, and climate change.
The Deputy Prime Minister will emphasize Pakistan’s dedication to the objectives of the OIC and the issues facing the Muslim community worldwide.
On the sidelines of the session, Senator Dar plans to engage in bilateral discussions with foreign ministers from other OIC member states.
Before the OIC session, the Deputy Prime Minister will attend the “OIC Youth Forum Grand Youth Award” ceremony, where the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will be honored.
