ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar affirmed the nation’s defense capabilities as unassailable, citing advancements in missile and nuclear technology during a speech at the Azadi Cultural Show at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
Dar emphasized that Pakistan, established in the name of Islam, is resilient and poised to maintain its presence on the global stage indefinitely. He expressed confidence in the country’s potential to secure its rightful stature among the community of nations.
Highlighting military achievements, Dar praised the armed forces for their decisive victory over India in May. He also noted Pakistan’s diplomatic strides over the past 18 months, including its membership in the UN Security Council and hosting a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Ahsan Iqbal, speaking at the same event, lauded Pakistan’s progress in modern technology and education, citing the nation’s 250 universities as evidence of growing educational quality. He asserted that Pakistan is advancing swiftly on the path of development.
The event featured patriotic songs and cultural performances, with artists and students from across the country contributing to the celebratory atmosphere.
