Pakistan’s Cyber Security Achievements Gain Global Recognition, Says Minister Shaza Fatima


Islamabad: Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced that Pakistan’s initiatives in cyber security have garnered international acclaim, placing the country among the top global leaders in the field. Speaking at a news conference, the Minister highlighted the country’s rapid advancement to a leading position in cyber security and credited this success to the collaborative efforts of various relevant departments.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Shaza Fatima detailed the country’s adherence to international cyber security standards and its emergence as a model for others to follow. She emphasized the significant role played by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his team in the development of the IT industry, which she described as rapidly growing. The promotion of information technology remains a top priority for the government, particularly through the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.



The Minister also revealed plans for a pilot project aimed at digitizing all institutions in the federal capital. Furthermore, she highlighted a milestone investment by Google in Pakistan’s IT sector, marking a significant achievement and a first for the country.
