Islamabad, Caretaker Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi paid tribute to the resilience of Kashmiris in their struggle against India’s illegal occupation, reaffirming Pakistan’s support for their right to self-determination. His statement came on Kashmir Solidarity Day, emphasizing the protracted nature of the Jammu and Kashmir issue on the United Nations Security Council’s agenda.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Solangi criticized India’s intransigence and its disregard for human rights and international laws as the primary obstacles to resolving the Kashmir dispute. He praised the determination of the Kashmiri people in resisting Indian domination, despite facing harsh tactics, draconian laws, and state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Expressing confidence in the eventual triumph of the Kashmiri people, Solangi underscored the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of its people for lasting peace in South Asia. He highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to bring international attention to India’s violations in IIOJK and committed to continuing to voice the Kashmiri cause globally.
