Pakistan’s Assertive Response Challenges India, Says Defense Minister

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Defense Minister, Khawaja Asif, stated on Sunday that Pakistan’s decisive response to India’s recent aggression has effectively challenged its neighbor’s perceived arrogance. In a conversation with a private news channel, Asif congratulated the nation on what he described as a “befitting” reply to India, which he claimed left their aggressive stance “reduced to nothing but dust.”

Asif asserted that the strong response from Pakistan has forced Indian policymakers to reconsider their approach, highlighting the impact of Pakistan’s actions on regional dynamics.

The minister emphasized that any future discussions with India would prioritize addressing three key issues: the Indus Water Treaty, the Kashmir conflict, and terrorism. These topics have long been sources of tension between the two countries, and Asif underscored the need for substantive diplomatic efforts to resolve them.

He noted that Pakistan’s position on these matters is firm and that any meaningful dialogue must address these fundamental concerns.

In response to a question about the regional situation, Asif stated that India’s previous arrogance has been checked, as they misinterpreted Pakistan’s restraint as a sign of weakness. He credited Pakistan’s armed forces for delivering a decisive response, praising their capabilities as globally recognized and admired.
