Pakistan’s Army Chief Advocates for Kashmir Resolution in Line with UN Resolutions and Local Aspirations

Rawalpindi, General Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has emphasized the importance of resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

According to Kashmir Media Service, General Munir highlighted the international recognition of the Kashmir dispute, asserting that no one-sided actions could change the nature of this conflict, contrary to the wishes of the Kashmiri population. This statement was made during his interaction with members of prominent U.S. think tanks and media, As per an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) news release in Rawalpindi.

The Army Chief discussed Pakistan’s viewpoint on various critical issues, including regional security, transnational terrorism, and the necessity of maintaining strategic stability in South Asia. His remarks underscore the ongoing efforts and viewpoints of Pakistan regarding the long-standing dispute in Kashmir, a region of historic and geopolitical significance.
