Pakistan’s Armed Forces Honour War Hero Naik Saif Ali Janjua on 77th Anniversary


Islamabad: The Armed Forces of Pakistan commemorated the 77th martyrdom anniversary of Naik Saif Ali Janjua Shaheed on Wednesday, recognizing his remarkable bravery and sacrifice during the 1948 conflict. The solemn tribute was led by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff; General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee; Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff; and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff.



Naik Saif Ali Janjua is remembered for his courageous defense of Pir Kaleva Ridge against persistent Indian forces. His actions during the conflict have left a lasting legacy, inspiring generations of soldiers dedicated to the protection of Pakistan’s sovereignty.



The ceremony not only honored Naik Saif Ali Janjua but also acknowledged the sacrifices of all members of the Armed Forces who display unwavering commitment to their duty and country. Their courage is celebrated as a beacon for the defenders of the homeland.
