Manila: Pakistani expatriates in Manila commemorated their nation’s 78th Independence Day with a flag-raising ceremony at Pakistan House. Ambassador Dr. Asima Rabbani led the observance, which included a large gathering of Pakistani citizens and their families. The event featured the hoisting of the national flag and the recitation of messages from Pakistan’s leadership.
Ambassador Rabbani addressed the attendees, reflecting on Pakistan’s nearly eight decades of existence, highlighting its trials, accomplishments, and ongoing quest for a more promising and secure future for its people. She also acknowledged the community’s triumph in “Marka-e-Haq”.
A documentary film, also titled “Marka-e-Haq” and provided by the Ministry, was screened during the celebration. Traditional Pakistani refreshments and treats were served, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
