Pakistani Students Secure Silver and Bronze at 65th International Mathematics Olympiad

Lahore: Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif celebrated the success of Pakistani students at the 65th International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) 2024, where they won silver and bronze medals. The Chief Minister praised the achievements of Razi Hasan Mansoor and Mohammad Ahmed Bhatti, who represented the country at this global event.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the students competed against peers from 108 countries, showcasing the mathematical prowess of Pakistan’s youth. The event highlighted the talents of Pakistani students and the contributions of their mentors, Prof. Dr. Sarfaraz Ahmed and Dr. Hani Shakir. The Punjab government’s ongoing commitment to educational investment was also underscored by CM Sharif, emphasizing the importance of developing young talents in the region.

The victories at the IMO not only reflect the individual achievements of the participants but also bring honor to the nation, enhancing its image on an international scale. The government’s focus on education aims to further nurture and develop these capabilities, promising a brighter future for the country’s academic representatives.
