Pakistani Stall a Major Hit at Dhaka International Charity Bazaar

Dhaka, The Pakistani Stall, set up by the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, emerged as a standout attraction at the International Charity Bazaar. The event, organized by Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, saw participation from numerous diplomatic missions and organizations, with the Pakistani stall drawing significant attention for its vibrant display of cultural and culinary offerings.

According to Press Information Department, the Pakistani Stall featured a diverse collection of Pakistani dresses, handicrafts, artifacts, and an array of popular Pakistani cuisines, including Biryani, Kabab, samosa, Channa Chaat, Kashmiri Chai, and more. The stall was meticulously organized by the Ladies Club of the Pakistan High Commission, led by Syeda Shazia Nahid, the spouse of the High Commissioner. The event saw active participation from all High Commission officers, officials, and their families, contributing to its success.

During the inauguration ceremony of the Charity Bazaar, High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof highlighted the importance of such events in promoting cultural heritage and diverse culinary traditions while supporting charitable causes in the host country. He affirmed the Pakistan High Commission’s commitment to ongoing participation in similar events to showcase the richness of Pakistan’s culture. The High Commissioner also had the opportunity to interact with the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Dr. A.K Abdul Momen, during the Minister’s visit to the Pakistani Stall, further strengthening diplomatic and cultural ties between the two countries.
