Pakistani sports presenter had to leave India after false case filed against her

Dubai, October 09, 2023 (PPI-OT): Pakistani female sports presenter Zainab Abbas has been forced to move to Dubai, leaving the coverage of the World Cup incomplete after a lawyer, at the behest of India’s Hindutva government, filed a false case against her.

India’s enmity against Pakistan is not new at all. Earlier, India had issued visas to Pakistan’s national team to participate in the World Cricket Cup after a long delay due to the intervention of the International Cricket Council, while apart from journalists, Pakistani fans have also not been issued visas for the World Cup. ICC is also looking helpless in front of India and its propaganda.

Earlier, Zainab Abbas had come to India to perform her duties as a presenter in the Cricket World Cup, but she had to face continuous pressure due to a false case registered on an eight-year-old tweet in India, after which she was forced to return and now she has gone to Dubai.

A lawyer has filed a complaint against Zainab Abbas in India. The Indian lawyer claims that Zainab Abbas tweeted against Hinduism and India 8 years ago. The Indian lawyer has attributed the social media comments to Zainab Abbas and called them her comments. Zainab Abbas has served as a presenter in several international series and events. The spokesperson of the International Cricket Council has denied the reports of deporting Zainab Abbas and said that she was not deported.
