Islamabad, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Religious Affairs and Pakistani Diaspora in Middle East and Muslim Countries, held a meeting with the South African High Commissioner Mthuthuzeli Madikiza to discuss the Palestine crisis.
According to Press Information Department, the meeting at the South African Embassy in Islamabad focused on the current situation in Palestine. Ashrafi, who also chairs the Pakistan Ulema Council, expressed Pakistan’s gratitude for South Africa’s support in filing a case at the International Court of Justice against the injustices faced by Palestine. He emphasized Pakistan’s appreciation of South Africa’s proactive role and solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
Commissioner Madikiza reaffirmed South Africa’s commitment to standing with the Palestinian people against oppression and injustice. He assured continued robust support from South Africa in addressing the atrocities faced by the Palestinian population.
Ashrafi concluded by emphasizing the strong bilateral ties between Pakistan and South Africa, particularly in their collective stance against injustices in Palestine. He highlighted the importance of international solidarity in addressing global crises and underscored the shared commitment of both nations in collaborative efforts to address such issues.
