Pakistani Prime Minister Seeks Closer Ties with Oman

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Oman, during a phone call with Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq of Oman. This discussion highlights the ongoing diplomatic efforts to bolster cooperation across various sectors.

The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction regarding the recent visit of Pakistan’s Commerce Minister to Muscat. He noted that this visit lays a foundation for exploring mutually beneficial opportunities, particularly in trade and investment.

Sharif extended an invitation to Sultan Haitham to visit Pakistan officially, hoping to facilitate further cooperation. He also conveyed Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Sultan and the people of Oman, receiving warm reciprocal wishes in return.

In a separate statement on social media platform X, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated the commitment to deepen ties with Oman. He highlighted the successful ministerial visit as a positive step toward enhancing economic collaboration.

The interactions underline Pakistan’s diplomatic strategy to strengthen regional partnerships, with a focus on economic and investment opportunities. Both nations appear keen to build on these dialogues to foster a robust bilateral relationship.
