Pakistani Prime Minister Offers Condolences in Iran, Affirms Solidarity After National Tragedy

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif traveled to the Islamic Republic of Iran to express Pakistan’s condolences and solidarity following the tragic helicopter accident that resulted in the deaths of Iranian President Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and others. During his visit, Prime Minister Sharif met with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, to personally convey the sympathies of the Pakistani people and government.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in his meetings with Iranian leaders, Prime Minister Sharif recalled the late Iranian president’s recent visit to Pakistan, praising his role in strengthening bilateral relations and his contributions to the Muslim community. He also acknowledged the efforts of the late Foreign Minister Abdollahian in fostering regional peace. The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Iran, emphasizing the shared history and future aspirations of both nations.
