Pakistani Prime Minister Meets Iran’s Supreme Leader, Commends Late President Raisi’s Contributions

Islamabad, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, to express condolences and discuss the enduring impact of late President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi on Pakistan-Iran relations. The Prime Minister praised President Raisi’s dedication to the unity of the Muslim Ummah and his efforts to support the oppressed people of Gaza, describing him as an exemplary leader whose contributions will be remembered.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during the meeting in Tehran, Prime Minister Sharif recalled President Raisi’s recent visit to Pakistan and noted his significant role in strengthening bilateral ties. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continue Raisi’s vision of enhancing bilateral trade and relations with Iran. The Iranian Supreme Leader expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support during this challenging time and acknowledged the importance of mutual relations, pledging to further President Raisi’s initiatives concerning the two nations.
